FAQ

Can I send one as a gift?

That's most of what we do. Mark it as a gift at checkout, add a note, and it ships direct to them with no pricing in the box. Pick their delivery date so it lands when someone's home to put it in the fridge.

Can I pick the day it arrives?

Yes. Choose your delivery date at checkout and we'll time the shipment to land that day. If you're ordering for a birthday, a beach week or a holiday, pick the date you want to eat it, not the date before.

How many people does one bucket feed?

Every signature pot comes in two sizes. A Low-Tider feeds 2–3. A High-Tider feeds 4–6. If you're deciding between them, go up — leftover snow crab is a good problem.

How does it show up?

Fresh, not frozen. Your pot arrives in an insulated box with ice packs, packed the same way a fish house ships to a restaurant.

What should I do the minute it lands?

Take the pot out of the box and put it straight in the refrigerator. Don't leave it on the porch and don't leave it on the counter.

How long can I keep it before I cook it?

Cook it within 48 hours of delivery. This is fresh seafood, so that window is firm.

Don't freeze it. Freezing changes the texture of shrimp and crab and we don't recommend it for any of our pots.

How does Build Your Own work?

You fill a bucket. Add seafood and sides and watch the bucket graphic fill as you go — it holds six items total. The marker at three slots feeds 2–3 people, and a full six feeds 4–6. Then pick your seasoning, choose your delivery date, and check out.

Why can't I add more than four snow crab?

Snow crab clusters are the bulkiest thing that goes in a bucket, and four is simply as many as will fit alongside everything else. If you want a crab-heavy spread, order a second bucket rather than trying to squeeze one.

A little disappointed with both quantity and quality of product. It was good but not $200 great or worth it. It was tasty but easily replicated at about a third of the price. Price in a steamer pot and you are still at 2/3 the price. We supplemented additional potatoes and sausage to feed 4 adults. Mebbe if you did this once or twice a year as a foodie experience it might live up to shark tank expectations, but real world, we can duplicate for well less than a third of the cost. Good, but maybe not worth it.
